Strait of Hormuz military operations - U.S. heavily bombed the Iranian coastline

The Strait of Hormuz, which is the main artery of the world's oil supply, was heavily bombed by the U.S. on March 22 as pressure to reopen it. This military action came after President Donald Trump warned that if Iran does not reopen the waterway within 48 hours, Iran's energy and electrical plants would be targeted.

Explosions in coastal areas

According to eyewitnesses and local news sources, it has been reported that explosion sounds have been continuously heard in major cities along the southern coastline of Iran.

Bandar Abbas - From around 8:00 AM, explosions were reportedly heard approximately every 10 minutes, and local residents stated that military facilities in the western part of the city were targeted.

Explosions occurred during the night, including near the Bushehr - Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) bases.

Qeshm Island - Around 5:00 AM, fighter planes were heard flying at low altitudes, and military targets near the waterway were hit.

These airstrikes are intended to undermine Iran's naval, missile, and air defense systems to achieve security in maritime transport.

The Rajabthan and Global Economy Gap

During the 'Operation Epic Fury' military campaign that began at the end of February, the United States and Israel destroyed many of Iran's military targets. In response, Iran blocked the Strait of Hormuz, through which approximately 20% of the world's oil shipments pass, leading to a significant rise in global oil prices.

According to a study by West Point Military Academy, the blockade of waterways has caused significant disruptions in the shipment of essential commodities like sulfur and copper, posing a major threat to American defense industries.

Iran's response

The Iranian military command has warned that if their energy facilities are attacked, they will retaliate against the American forces and allies in the region, along with their information technology (IT) capabilities and desalination plants. Additionally, the Iranian parliament's chairman has aggressively threatened that those holding U.S. Treasury bonds, which financially support the American military, could also be designated as legitimate targets.

The situation is extremely tense, and both sides are in a position where they must continue to monitor the full statements released.
