This AI video, at the 4th second, depicts the ruins of Hiroshima (Japan) after the atomic bomb explosion in World War II, featuring an iconic image of a tattered boy carrying his deceased younger brother, standing amidst the destruction and rubble.
On Weibo, Chinese netizens expressed outrage towards the embassy for suggesting that this video implies that Japan during the Empire and the Japanese people “deserve sympathy.” In just a few minutes, nearly 2000 people left furious comments.
