Some reports indicate that the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) has explored the use of USDT to facilitate payments to private companies and transactions related to the oil sector, while state firms like Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) have transferred part of their dollar revenues to this stablecoin, creating channels that inject digital currencies directly into the local economy.
According to Venezuelan economist Asdrúbal Oliveros, the State is making more settlements in USDT than in US dollars. For the specialist, this massive adoption responds to the combination of international sanctions and the search for operational efficiency.
