°Crypto Market Plummets: Rp181 Trillion Disappeared from Hundreds of Thousands of Traders Due to Trump's Tariffs on China

The crypto market is experiencing significant turmoil again, causing hundreds of thousands of traders to be liquidated with total losses reaching US10.9 billion or approximately Rp181.83 trillion in the last 24 hours. Most of the losses, amounting to US8.45 billion, came from long positions, while US$1.63 billion came from short positions.

Bitcoin became the asset with the largest losses, experiencing liquidation of US2.49 billion after the token dropped to US101,000. Ethereum followed with liquidation of US2.25 billion, as its price fell to US3,900.

The market's decline was triggered by the policy of United States President Donald Trump, who reimposed extraordinary tariffs on China on Friday (10/10).

The impact of Bitcoin's collapse also extended to other crypto assets such as Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin, which collectively suffered losses of more than US1.4 billion.

This caused all three to drop by tens of percent, with XRP now priced at US2.3, Solana at US194, and Dogecoin at US0.1794.

Despite this, the crypto market shows signs of recovery, with Bitcoin managing to hold at US113,000 after briefly falling below US105 thousand.
