#AskWho #Crossed_Or_Isolated_Mode

There is a use case of Cross or Isolated Mode but you should NOT use Isolated mode for SL replacement.

šŸ¤” Why?

Binance will enforce to liquidate your account if price is going against your trade.

Example:

+ your capital = $100

+ your trade volume = $1000 = $10 (Margin) x 100 (Leverage)

- Position closing fee = 0.05% (Market Taker fee) is too small.

- Liquidation fee = 2% x volume = 2% x $1000 = $20

==> you can trade only ~$80 (80% of capital). For some cases, Binance will liquidate your account at around 70%.

šŸ’„If you go back to 10-Oct-2025, the market was fallen quickly, BTC dropped 16% from 122k to 101k within few minutes, many accounts were liquidated. SL even could not help because of shortage of market liquidation. However, isolated mode will help on this case.

šŸŽ Key Takeaway:

>> Always use SL beyond Liquidated level to maximize your capital investment.

>> Only keep the capital amount you accept to loss in your futures account and trade in Cross mode with SL.

>> Use Isolated mode for extremely high volume trade to protect your capital with SL beyond your liquidated level.

šŸ‘‰ How to Switch Margin Modes:

1. NavigateĀ to the Futures trading page on Binance.

2. LocateĀ the margin mode selection at the top-right (it usually defaults to "Isolated" or "Cross").

3. ClickĀ the toggle to switch betweenĀ [Cross]Ā andĀ [Isolated].

4. ConfirmĀ the change, ensuring you do this before opening any new positions. You must close all opening positions before you can switch this.
