Remember that I just talked about Sister Jia Yi and WLFI @worldlibertyfi yesterday
The conversation of founder Zack Folkman mainly discusses#USD1 Not just a stablecoin, but also gradually working on ecological layout topics
As a result, today @Aster_DEX Aster DEX released an update, this wave is once again a dream collaboration, I have to say, in this market, the update efficiency is so high, it really deserves a thumbs up, the content feels just right to connect with what I said yesterday, let's continue to chat with everyone!
In the future, all TradFi perpetual contracts on Aster will be settled using USD1, no longer used together with USDT (equivalent to a dedicated channel for USD1).
The first batch includes these four varieties $CLUSD1 (which is WTI crude oil), $XAUUSD1 (gold), $XAGUSD1 (silver), $BZUSD1 (Brent crude oil), and there should be more bulk commodities added later.
The fee has also been set; Taker (the one taking orders) only pays 1 basis point, while Maker (the one placing orders) can even have a negative fee rate, equivalent to a rebate. I think it's quite cost-effective for both high-frequency traders and market makers.
Additionally, WLFI and Aster have mentioned that they are discussing how WLFI and Aster's tokens can be more closely integrated in the future, and there might be more collaborations to look forward to.
Many friends have also been using USD1 as collateral on Aster. Seeing this change should make them quite happy, as USD1 has gained another practical use.
In the past, when we traded gold, silver, and crude oil on-chain, we had to exchange currencies, which was particularly troublesome and involved various inconveniences.
Now, it's better; you can directly open and close positions using USD1, making the process much smoother, especially for friends accustomed to playing with DeFi.
Moreover, Aster's trading experience is already quite good, and this time they've opened a dedicated channel for USD1. Gradually, the liquidity in this market should continue to increase.
This step is also very important for USD1; it is no longer just an ordinary stablecoin, as it starts to be used for the settlement of large commodities on-chain. The ecological layout Zack discussed yesterday has already seen tangible results here on Aster.
If WLFI and Aster can collaborate more deeply on the token level in the future, our users holding USD1 might have more benefits in terms of trading and incentives.
Speaking of the current market situation, this wave of updates comes at a rather opportune time. Recently, the sentiment in the entire crypto market is well-known to everyone, quite low. BTC has been fluctuating around $60,000, and the fear and greed index has been in extreme fear, causing everyone to be cautious and reluctant to act.
However, at this very moment, seeing Aster and WLFI settle RWA perpetual contracts truly on USD1 makes people feel more secure—this isn't just hype without action; it genuinely moves the trading demands of traditional assets like gold, silver, and crude oil onto the blockchain, creating a usable closed loop for USD1.
I personally believe that projects that continue to solidly build infrastructure and expand practical usage scenarios during market lows can provide more long-term confidence for the entire ecosystem.
In fact, bridging DeFi and traditional finance (TradFi) is not something that can be achieved in a day or two. This cooperation between Aster and WLFI has at least pushed the idea of 'more convenient trading of traditional macro assets on-chain' significantly forward.
For those of us who have been following USD1 and Aster, having one more practical, operational scenario in the current market environment is a small blessing.
Of course, we still need to see how things develop: for example, whether the trading volume and depth of USD1 on Aster can gradually increase, when the integration details between WLFI tokens and Aster can be clarified, all of these are worth our continued attention. I will also keep an eye on the data changes of these new trading pairs.
Are there any friends trading RWA perpetual contracts on Aster, or have they been holding USD1? Feel free to share your experiences in the comments; let's see how this direction will evolve in the future.
As always, take it slow, participate rationally, and we'll chat again next time. That's all for today!
