In the latest report on cybercrime, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) revealed that the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) recorded losses of $11,366 billion in fraud related to cryptocurrencies in 2025, representing a 22% increase from the previous year.
The annual report also recorded 181,565 complaints related to cryptocurrencies, an increase of 21% year-over-year. The average loss was $62,604, with losses exceeding $100,000 for 18,589 complainants.
