Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) recently gave an interesting interview on The Best Podcast Network (TBPN). He talked openly about his new memoir "Freedom of Money" (which is set to release on April 8, 2026) and the future of crypto.

Here are some key highlights from the interview that every crypto lover should know:

1. Where was the book written? ✍️

CZ mentioned that he wrote a large part of his memoir while he was in jail. His goal is to dispel the misconceptions that the media has spread about him and Binance. According to him, "This is my story, in my words."

2. "Transparency Paradox" and Privacy 🛡️

CZ made a surprising statement: "Crypto is currently more transparent than necessary."

People think crypto is only for illicit activities, whereas in reality, crypto has far fewer wrongdoings compared to traditional finance (banks).

However, due to the public ledger of blockchain, every transaction can be tracked, which can pose a threat to the physical security of regular users. Therefore, they emphasized the need for privacy features.

3. Regulation: Not everything will be right at once ⚖️

Talking about regulation, CZ said that no new law is perfect the first time. The industry and regulators will have to work together over time. Their vision is clear: Progress over perfection.

4. The Fusion of AI and Crypto 🤖

They believe that AI will make crypto safer. With the help of AI, tools can be created that will make self-custody (managing your own coins) easier and safer for the average person.

💡 Short Summary:

CZ is no longer the CEO, but his vision remains the same: Financial Freedom. All the proceeds from his book will go to charity.
