So I finally dug into this “Skills” thing in Binance AI Pro and I have to admit… I went in expecting a boring robot assistant, but what I found was lowkey hilarious.
Basically, Skills are the superpowers Binance gives the AI so it can actually do stuff on the platform instead of just yapping. Consider it a toolkit for your AI. It can automatically trade according to my wishes, monitor accounts, perform search requests, and even create software. It’s not just a chatbot, it can get its hands dirty (well… digitally).
The funny part? Right now, the skills are still pretty “safe and vanilla.” You get a bunch of pre selected core skills that are all vetted by Binance. They’re great at the technical stuff (connecting to the exchange, executing trades, etc.), but they’re not out here giving you secret alpha or “guaranteed 1000% profit” strategies. Sorry, no magic money printer yet.
Can you teach it new skills or import crazy stuff from GitHub?
Technically yes… but only the approved ones. Right now it’s still in “responsible adult” mode. They’re working on letting you add custom skills, but for the moment, Binance is playing it safe so nobody accidentally lets the AI go full chaotic mode and liquidate their portfolio.
Oh, and yes, it can write and run code (Python, Pine Script, you name it). But don’t get too excited. The more complex your strategy, the faster it eats through your credits. It’s like having a very talented but slightly expensive intern.
And before you ask: No, it does not guarantee profits. In fact, it’s very clear about that.You’re still the one ultimately responsible for whatever happens. The AI is just the tool. If it blows up your account, Binance will politely say “skill issue” and move on.
So in short:
Skills make Binance AI Pro way more powerful than a normal chatbot, but it’s still a responsible, well behaved robot, not a degenerate degen bot (yet).
I actually find it pretty fun to experiment with. It feels like training a very smart digital pet that can trade for you.
