$ETH The decentralized cloud computing platform Aethir announced its success in containing an exploitation attack that targeted the bridge contracts linked to the network, #Ethereum which reduced the losses to less than $90,000, compared to initial estimates of around $400,000 according to the security analytics firm PeckShield.
The company, specialized in GPU-based computing architecture for artificial intelligence services, reported that it detected the attack targeting its bridge contracts for its token ATH between Ethereum and other blockchain chains, and it was able to stop it quickly by disabling the affected contracts.
Aethir added that it took immediate actions that included separating the compromised contracts and coordinating with global trading platforms to blacklist the wallets linked to the attackers, which helped to mitigate the actual loss amount.$ETH
