Kraken said it rejected an extortion demand after videos of internal support systems and limited customer data tied to about 2,000 accounts were accessed. Chief Security Officer Nick Percoco said Kraken's core systems were never breached and no customer funds are at risk. Kraken said it has contacted affected users and is working with federal law enforcement across multiple jurisdictions.
