On April 8, CZ's autobiography (Binance Life) shockingly launched.
That day, I happened to be in Phuket, with a group of Binance Angels for a team-building event.
Coincidentally, the 2018 Binance anniversary celebration was also in Phuket. So, when I turned to the chapter in the book that says 'Binance Angels,' I suddenly felt something very special in my heart.
Because what was written on those pages is not just an identity, nor just a community mechanism.
For me, it felt more like a key that suddenly unlocked many memories from the years I walked with Binance, with BNB, and with a group of Binance Angels.
When people see Binance, the first things that come to mind are trading volume, products, globalization, and industry influence.
But if you've truly come this far, you'll know that there are many easily overlooked factors behind Binance's success.
For example, a group of people who don't receive a salary but are willing to stand up for users, maintain the community, and promote ideas in the long term.
This group of people share a common name: Binance Angels.
And I am lucky enough to be one of them.
Although I missed Binance's first anniversary celebration in Phuket in 2018 due to a scheduling conflict, and was unable to meet CZ and the top female host in person, it has always been a small regret.
But what made me very happy later was that I received a first-anniversary T-shirt personally signed by CZ.
As I recall, only three items were signed in total, and I received one of them.
Of the dozen or so angels mentioned in CZ's book, seven are still angels today.
CZ personally signed a one-year anniversary T-shirt, and the one next to it was personally signed by the top female star.

Some things don't necessarily need to be measured by price.
For me, that T-shirt is more like a special memento.
It's like, even though I missed the event, I still have a real connection with that period of history.
There's something I've always remembered very clearly.
When BNB was first launched, its price performance was not ideal. There was skepticism and uncertainty in the market.
But CZ did not shy away from these voices. Instead, he invited some angels to visit the company in Shanghai and had dinner and chatted with them in the evening.
Many genuine trusts are not built during the hottest market conditions.
It is actually formed slowly when others hesitate, doubt, or cannot see clearly.
After that meeting, two angels demonstrated their judgment through their actions.
One person bought over 600,000 BNB, while the other went even further, buying 3 million BNB.
I've always felt that the most important part of this matter wasn't "how much was bought," but rather—
Many early Binance angel investors genuinely understood and believed in CZ, Binance, and BNB.
Between 2018 and 2019, we also did a lot of offline evangelism in China.

To help more people understand Binance and BNB, we have held BNB Meet Up events in different cities.
In each city we visit, many new users come to participate.
Some people are hearing about BNB for the first time, some are seriously learning about Binance for the first time, and some actually entered this industry from those events.
Looking back now, those events may not have been particularly large in scale, but they were very real.
Because at that stage, what everyone was doing was not chasing trends, but actually going from station to station to talk, explain, and connect with users.
Later, I also opened a Binance-themed coffee shop in Futian, Shenzhen, which was authorized by Binance.

That shop has coffee with the BNB logo and has also hosted some blockchain events.
More importantly, it was one of the first physical stores to support BNB payments.

If I tell this story again today, many people might think it's just an interesting little episode.
But for me, it was actually a very serious way of putting "identity" into the real world.
It's not just about shouting slogans online, nor is it just about discussing things in online communities.
Instead, we genuinely want BNB to be seen, used, and trusted in everyday life.
Unfortunately, the store eventually had to close down due to the pandemic.
Every time I think about this, I still feel a little regretful.
But I have never regretted doing it.
Because it truly represents my most genuine love for Binance and BNB during those years.
In 2019, Binance's second anniversary celebration was held at a ski resort in South Korea.

That time, the feeling was very different from the early days. In the beginning, there were only about a dozen Binance Angels.
By that year, it had grown to over 70 companies spread across the globe, from different countries and regions.
You can clearly feel that Binance Angels is no longer just a small group of community supporters, but has truly begun to grow into a global family.
What impressed me even more was that the second anniversary celebration in South Korea was the first time I met the top female star in person.
How to describe it? The word that popped into my head at that moment wasn't just "beautiful," but rather—clear.
She's even more beautiful than a celebrity, and her temperament is also excellent.
But what I remember most is not just his appearance, but the natural and approachable feeling he gave me.
We even took a group photo together.
Looking back now, that photo remains a cherished memory.

It's precisely because I've actually met her that I feel particularly uncomfortable seeing those vulgar posts about the "Queen of Pop" online these past few days. From pornographic rumors to malicious fabrications, all sorts of outrageous things have been circulating.
But the woman I saw with my own eyes was completely different from those filthy things.
The woman I met was neither aloof nor cold.
She is very sincere, approachable, and willing to get close to everyone.
This was especially evident at the barbecue party that followed the second anniversary of the Korean anniversary.
The event will be a buffet.
Afterwards, perhaps worried that everyone hadn't eaten enough, Sister Yi and CZ took us to eat barbecue.
Because there were too many people, they could only be assigned to two barbecue restaurants that were not far apart.

What impressed me most was that the conversation between the top female celebrity and CZ didn't end with just a simple meal.
They kept running back and forth, constantly grilling meat for us, greeting everyone, and chatting with angels from different countries.
That feeling is actually hard to explain in just a sentence or two.
You'll feel that they aren't the aloof founders, nor are they just organizers going through the motions.
Instead, she is genuinely approachable and sincere in her interactions with every angel, truly putting everyone first.
There was also a particularly heartwarming and funny moment that day.
At the time, CZ was having barbecue with the angels from our CN region. Somehow, while they were chatting, one of the angels, named "Wudili," suddenly asked CZ to feed him the barbecue.
To everyone's surprise, CZ readily agreed and actually picked up a piece of grilled meat and fed it to him.
And that moment was captured by my camera.
Honestly, this is something he can brag about for a lifetime. "Can you believe it? The richest man personally fed me barbecue."
In the years that followed, I would participate in almost every Binance event, as long as time allowed.
It's not for checking in, nor is it to prove anything.
It's because for me, Binance is no longer just a trading platform.
It also allowed me to meet many people who traveled with me and witness many stories that would not have happened otherwise.

Some people met at the event;
Some memories are slowly formed through repeated gatherings;
Some sense of belonging deepens little by little through these real connections.
This reunion with everyone in Phuket has given me a deeper feeling: Binance Angels is becoming more and more like a big family.
Everyone comes from different places and backgrounds, and each of them shines in their own field of expertise.
Some people excel at community operations, some at content dissemination, some at offline connections, and some at helping users solve problems.
Over the years, we have grown together with Binance, and we have faced and moved forward together with Binance in the face of market changes, industry fluctuations and various problems.
So when I read the chapter "Binance Angels" in (Binance Life), I felt more than just being "mentioned".
What I'm thinking is:
From the initial skepticism surrounding BNB's launch to the genuine trust shown by consumers through substantial financial contributions;
From numerous BNB Meet Up events across China to that coffee shop in Shenzhen that supports BNB payments;
From the regret of the first anniversary to receiving a CZ autographed T-shirt;
From the first time I met the top female celebrity, to the second anniversary celebration in Korea where I ate barbecue and chatted with angels from all over the world;
Then on April 8, 2026, the day (Binance Life) was launched, we reunited once again in Phuket.
Evening of April 8, 2026
The location seemed to have come full circle, returning to the starting point.
But the story has already gone far ahead.
From the earliest dozen or so angels, to the later 400 or so spread all over the world;

From offline events to gatherings where people recognized each other;
From the simple phrase "protect users" to countless moments of truly standing up to help users.
Over the years, Binance Angel has never just been a title. It's more like a recognition.
It's a sense of belonging that comes from being willing to walk together, to contribute, and to stand in the community for a long time.
As I wrote this (Binance Life), I suddenly understood why I resonated with it so deeply.
Because the book tells not only CZ's story, but also Binance's growth.
In a way, it also reflects a period of time that we, as a group of people, participated in and witnessed together.
As for the future, I don't have any grand expectations.
I just hope that when Binance celebrates its 10th or 20th anniversary, we, the old and new angel investors, can still stand together and witness Binance move forward.
Because the very act of being "present" is precious in itself.
I haven't finished watching (Binance Life) yet.
But just reading this far has already brought back so many memories of people and events.
I believe there will be even more resonance later on.
And we will surely unearth even more old photos, old stories, and old emotions.
-----------------------------------------------
That's all for now.
After I finish reading, I'll slowly write down the stories that belong to me and to the Binance angels for you.
Finally, if you like this, please give it a little heart ❤️.
