Russia's central bank plans to require identity verification for all crypto traders and block unverified users from withdrawing crypto from domestic platforms. The proposal would require domestic exchanges to enforce a full real-name system and would bar transfers from domestic custodial wallets to overseas non-custodial wallets. The rules are expected in July this year with new crypto legislation, and Deputy Governor Vladimir Chistyukhin said the measures would not ban individuals from holding or using crypto assets.
