🛡️ War is not only a battle on the battlefield. It is also a struggle for stability, for the future, for the peace of loved ones waiting at home.
And just as every fighter has a bulletproof vest, everyone should have financial armor — a system that protects against losses, uncertainty, and fraud.
💬 “I am currently on duty, I can’t do this right now…”
It's natural. But right now is the best time to think about how to handle the money you earn in risky conditions.
Many military personnel today receive stable payments, service bonuses 'on the front lines', donations from friends or volunteers. And often this money just sits as 'dead weight' — or, worse, is lost due to negligence.
No one can predict what tomorrow will bring. But spending a few hours on financial literacy today is like repairing your helmet before heading out: it might just save you someday.
💰 What is financial armor?
It's not a complicated science and it's not about investing in stocks or crypto.
It's a set of simple rules:
Have a financial cushion — at least a reserve for 2–3 months of your family's living expenses.
Distribute funds: part on the card, part in cash, part in safe instruments (deposits, bonds).
Protect accounts and cards — complex passwords, two-factor authentication, never share codes from SMS.
Have a plan for unforeseen circumstances: who has access to your finances if you can't manage them.
⚠️ Financial vulnerability is the enemy's new target.
Today, scammers are hunting not only trusting pensioners.
There are even 'volunteers' calling military personnel, offering 'help with processing payments.'
In fact, this is an attempt to get your personal data and empty your card.
Remember:
The state does not call, banks do not ask for codes, and financial security is just as much of a defense as your helmet or body armor.
🪙 Money is also a fighter on your side.
Every hryvnia you save is another ally.
It can become a support for the family, an investment in your education, or a start for your own business after service.
Therefore, financial literacy is not a luxury, but a tool for survival and development.
📅 In the next issue of our series 'Financial Armor', we will talk about where and how to safely store your funds so that inflation doesn't 'eat' them and scammers don't steal them.
