X launched smart cashtags for iPhone users in the United States and Canada, showing live stock and cryptocurrency price data inside the app. Tapping a cashtag opens real-time charts and related posts without leaving X. Canadian users can also trade stocks and crypto through X's partnership with Wealthsimple, while the trading feature is not yet available in the United States. X head of product Nikita Bier said web, Android and broader global rollout are planned for the near future.
