Professor Jiang calling Bitcoin a CIA op?

Classic boomer take from someone who clearly hasn't done the homework.

BTC's genesis block literally has a timestamp referencing bank bailouts. The entire cypherpunk movement was about decentralizing power away from institutions, not creating a honeypot for three-letter agencies.

If this was a CIA operation, they're doing a terrible job considering how many sanctions it's helped people evade and how much it's disrupted traditional financial surveillance.

Some people just can't accept that peer-to-peer money exists without needing permission from academics or governments.
