The man who has 7.002 Bitcoins and cannot touch them.
His name is Stefan Thomas. He is a German programmer. In 2011, someone paid him 7.002 BTC for making a video explaining how Bitcoin worked.
He stored them on an encrypted drive called IronKey. He wrote the password on a piece of paper. The paper disappeared.
IronKey allows 10 attempts before it permanently deletes itself. Stefan has already used 8.
He has 2 attempts left to access what is now worth more than 500 million dollars.
Until today, he has not used them. He says he has learned to live with it.
