I almost cried the day I lost my first crypto reward.
I won a competition and the project asked for my wallet address to send the prize.
I was new, didn’t think much of it and just copied my address on Binance.
It was the only wallet I knew at the time.
The project sent the token, turns out the token wasn’t listed on Binance yet.
It was a brand new project that only existed on-chain.
So when they sent it to my wallet address, Binance didn’t even recognize it.
The funds just disappeared, $40 gone 🥹 money I genuinely worked for 😩
No scam. No hack. Just me not knowing enough to ask one simple question.
That’s what hurt the most. Not just the $40.
The fact that anyone in the project’s Telegram could’ve told me to use a DEX wallet instead.
If I had just asked, someone would’ve answered in minutes.
Crypto has some of the most helpful communities I’ve ever seen.
People share mistakes freely here, but you have to be willing to ask.
Nobody is going to stop you from making a wrong move if you don’t speak up first.
That $40 taught me to always ASK before I ACT.
Doesn’t matter how basic the question sounds, Ask anyway.
