On March 21, 2006, Jack Dorsey posted the very first tweet:
“just setting up my twttr”
From that simple little “twttr”, a platform was born that would go on to become one of the most influential places in the world.
Over the years:
• 2007: Hashtags (#) were born
• 2009: Verified badge arrived
• 2013: It became public
• 2022: Elon Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion
• 2023: Twitter officially became *X*
