Unitree Robotics Sets IPO Date Amid Humanoid Price War
The Shanghai Stock Exchange has accepted Unitree Robotics' application for a $610 million IPO, expected to finalize by Q2 2026. The funding will accelerate the development of the "G1" and "H1" series. Simultaneously, the company is undercutting rivals by selling its compact R1 humanoid on AliExpress for roughly $8,150, inclusive of international logistics and taxes.
Industry analysts suggest Unitree is reducing manufacturing costs faster than any of its Western rivals. While American firms focus on specialized industrial deployments, Unitree’s "AliExpress strategy" targets the mass market. The company’s ability to maintain a 60% gross margin while slashing prices is a key selling point for its upcoming public debut.
