On April 18, I had the honor of joining President Sadyr Japarov for an immersive journey into Kyrgyzstan’s rich nomadic heritage — set against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks and pristine nature.
From the poetic brilliance of akyn storytellers preserving centuries-old traditions, to hands-on artisan showcases in leatherwork and metal craftsmanship, every moment reflected a culture deeply rooted in history and identity.
We stepped inside a traditional yurt, experienced authentic nomadic cuisine, and witnessed incredible cultural displays — from majestic eagle hunting by skilled berkutchi falconers to precision archery and the raw speed of Taigan sighthound races.
Moments like these are powerful reminders: true innovation doesn’t replace heritage, it builds upon it.
