Every Web3 project sooner or later starts to say: “we will hand over control to the community.” Pixels is no exception.
But I always ask the same question:
what exactly will be handed over… and when?
According to the roadmap $PIXEL holders are supposed to gain influence over key matters:
economics, resource balance, content development.
On paper — it looks like true decentralization.
But to be honest… in most projects I have seen, “governance” is more about the illusion of control. The community votes, discusses… but the final word still remains with the team, especially in critical decisions.
I’m not saying that Pixels will do the same.
I’m saying that this scenario repeats too often to ignore it.
At the same time, there is a plus — they at least openly raise this topic. Many projects don’t care about this at all until they are pressured with questions.
The bar is not high…
but it’s already better than nothing 👀
