To be honest, I initially didn't pay much attention to @Pixels, thinking it was just another game and that's it. But then I looked into how Staked works there and it doesn't seem so simple anymore. Because $PIXEL here is not just for selling and forgetting, but it makes sense to hold it and see what happens next.
At @Pixels, the theme right now is that people are not just farming, but are really starting to think about how to better use the token. This is at least more interesting than most GameFi, where everyone just comes in for a couple of days and cashes out.
I wouldn't say it's perfect, since there's still a lot that's unclear, but the whole idea with Staked looks solid. If they don't break the economy, $PIXEL might still show its potential.
For now, #pixel looks like a project that's at least trying to build something sustainable rather than just a quick pump, but we'll see how it plays out moving forward.
