Pixels is still making me ask the same thing: what really keeps people here when the rewards stop feeling easy? I keep seeing the same GameFi pattern. Players come in for incentives, learn the loop fast, optimize hard, extract value, and start fading once the payout weakens. That’s why I don’t think the real issue is low rewards.

It feels more like there still isn’t enough real demand tied to actual usage. If value only shows up when emissions are strong, then the system is still leaning too hard on incentives to create activity. Stacked, Pixel Dungeons, and Chubkins are interesting to me because they look like early tries at building stronger reasons to stay, maybe through slower value accumulation and more meaningful friction, not just instant rewards. But I still can’t tell if that’s real retention or just smarter incentive design.

I’m still watching to see when staying matters more than extracting.
