Is @AAVE losing its trust? let me explain.

When Aave and Tether (USDT) are used together (e.g., lending/borrowing USDT via Aave), there are some significant downsides and risks:

1. Smart contract risk

Since @Aave is a DeFi protocol, it operates entirely with smart contracts. If a vulnerability (hack or exploit) occurs in the code, there is a possibility of losing your USDT. Similar attacks have occurred in DeFi in the past.

2. Liquidation risk (if borrowing)

If you deposit USDT and borrow another asset, or vice versa, and the collateral ratio decreases, your position will be automatically liquidated. This means a significant loss. The volatility of the crypto market can trigger this.

3. USDT-specific risks

Although USDT is a stablecoin, it is not entirely risk-free:

Reserve transparency has been a subject of debate in the past.

It may be subject to regulatory pressure.

In extreme scenarios, the "peg" (the $1 constant) may break.

4. Centralization risk (USDT side)

USDT is controlled by Tether Limited. It can freeze addresses if necessary. So it's not completely "censorship-resistant."

5. Yield reduction and variable interest rates

USDT interest rates on Aave are not fixed. They can decrease depending on demand. Therefore, the expected profit may decrease significantly over time.

6. Platform risk (DeFi in general)

Although Aave is a strong protocol:

Oracle errors

Governance decisions

Liquidity crises

Factors such as these can affect the system.

7. Gas fees (especially Ethereum)

Aave is generally used on Ethereum. Transaction fees increase significantly during peak times, potentially reducing profits for small investors.
