TRUMP:

CEASEFIRE EXTENDED, U.S. BACKS LEBANON SECURITY

President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and U.S. ambassadors met with senior Israeli and Lebanese officials in the Oval Office.

The meeting was productive. The U.S. will support Lebanon in strengthening its security against Hezbollah, and the Israel–Lebanon ceasefire is extended by three weeks.

Trump said he plans to soon host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, calling the talks a historic step.
