LONDON - Satsuma Technology PLC (LSE:SATS) purchased 22.77 bitcoin for $1.8 million as part of its treasury strategy, according to a press release statement.
The company acquired the bitcoin on Tuesday at an average price of $79,067 per coin, equivalent to approximately £58,503. The purchase was funded from existing cash reserves.
Following the acquisition, Satsuma holds 668.48 bitcoin as of Wednesday, with a total cost of £56.2 million and an average cost per bitcoin of £84,059. The market value of the holdings stood at £37.3 million based on a bitcoin price of approximately £56,427 on Tuesday.
