*What is the PIXEL Token?*
PIXEL is the native utility and governance token of _Pixels_
*Main uses of the PIXEL token:*
1. *In-game currency* - For buying items, boosts, and quality-of-life upgrades
2. *NFT minting* - All future Pixels NFTs will be minted in PIXEL
3. *VIP memberships* - VIP Battle Passes are purchased with PIXEL
4. *Guilds & premium features* - Used to join the social-fi feature "Guilds" and access exclusive perks
5. *Governance* - Will be used to govern a community treasury
*Tokenomics:* Total supply is 5 billion PIXEL with a hard cap. The TGE was on Feb 19, 2024 via Binance Launchpool — 350M tokens were distributed to BNB/FDUSD stakers. At launch, ∼771M tokens, or 15.42% of supply, were circulating.
The game previously had a “soft currency” called BERRY, but in Feb 2024 PIXEL became the single-token system. All BERRY was converted at a rate of *1,000 BERRY = 7.6175 PIXEL*.
*Ecosystem vision:* Pixels isn’t just a game, it’s becoming a platform. The team is building multi-game staking where PIXEL can be staked across other games too. The project has collaborated with 90+ Web3 projects like Mocaverse and YGG.
In short: PIXEL is the core of the Pixels economy — from farming to NFT minting, VIP perks, and governance, everything runs on it.
