Even if I think I’ll win the trade, it’s not worth risking my entire portfolio.
Shorting low-cap coins is extremely dangerous. Liquidity is weak, whales can easily manipulate the price, and squeezes can happen fast.
A coin can go from $50M to hundreds of millions—or even billions—very quickly. If you’re on the wrong side, unrealized losses can get out of control.
This isn’t about being right. It’s about managing risk and staying in the game.
