According to ABC News, the investigation could be closed as soon as this Friday.
The case was related to alleged overspending during the renovation of the Federal Reserve headquarters in Washington.
The materials are expected to be handed over to the Fed’s internal oversight body, with senators already notified.
Powell’s term is set to expire in May.
