The Pakistan Navyโ€™s newly commissioned Hangor-class submarine PNS/M Hangor arrived at Kota Kinabalu naval base in Malaysia on 8 May 2026.

The submarine is on a logistical stopover for replenishment of supplies, maintenance adjustments and crew rest before continuing its voyage back to Pakistan. The port call was attended by the Commander of the Malaysian Navyโ€™s Submarine Force and the Deputy Commander of the Eastern Fleet.

PNS/M Hangor is sailing in company with the Type 054AP frigate PNS Taimur, which is also visiting the same Malaysian port. Both Pakistani warships will proceed together to their home base.
