I used to trade almost exclusively on my computer, unless I didn’t have one nearby. Over the past two years, the app has gotten so much better, and with all the traveling I've been doing, I’ve been bringing my laptop less and less. The proportion of trading on my phone has gradually increased. But every time I need to seriously check recent market trends and do a big-picture analysis, I always go back to my computer. I’m not quite sure if it’s for the ritual or if the big screen really helps me see more; it’s probably a bit of both.
The Binance desktop platform has always been a "significant but low-frequency" player for me. But it has a fatal flaw: after being open for a while, it starts to lag. It lags so much that I have to give up and switch to the web version, which I've been using until recently.
Recently, Binance's desktop version updated, and I reinstalled it. I've been using it for a few days; there aren't any major innovations, but it definitely patched some obvious gaps and functionalities.

"Lag, delay, crashes" are three words that made it into the official update announcement, which is a form of honesty. I was driven to the web version because of this issue. After this update, I've kept it open for several days without closing it, and I haven't encountered that previous 'mouse movement is lagging' situation.

I'm currently running an automated trading strategy on Binance AI Pro, set up in a sub-account. Previously, managing these sub-accounts could only be done via the web version, and the mobile app didn't have a sub-account entry. The updated desktop now has the sub-account feature back, which is non-Jer smooth.

Additionally, on the 1st and 15th of every month, I need to transfer different amounts to a batch of Binance accounts, and now the payment feature on the web is very well-rounded. Also non-Jer smooth.

Fixing the desktop version is one of the least rewarding tasks—desktop users are few, their voices are quiet, and even if it gets fixed, no one tweets thanks (except for me). Investing resources to fix something that 'doesn't matter to most but is crucial for a small group' is definitely more noteworthy than adding new features.
If you only use the app daily, this update doesn't really affect you. But if you have friends who habitually stare at their screens at dawn, running quant strategies, or like me, prefer analyzing on a big screen—well, you can reinstall it and use it again.
