#genius $GENIUS @GeniusOfficial A couple of days ago, a friend of mine saw me constantly on Genius Terminal trading some meme coins and got curious, asking me to teach him. I said sure, it's pretty straightforward.

After about an hour of messing around, we stepped into three traps, each one crazier than the last.

First trap: Deposit just wouldn’t show up.

He excitedly withdrew 500 USDT from Binance, the address was correct, the chain was right, and the block explorer showed it was credited. But Genius balance didn’t budge. We stared at the screen for a while—Genius only recognizes self-custody wallets, and he deposited using an exchange wallet address, totally wasted his time. He withdrew back to Binance and tried again with MetaMask, and finally, it hit his balance instantly.

Second trap: Trade was stuck in pending.

He placed an order on Solana and waited nearly five minutes, just spinning. I told him he definitely didn’t provide enough Gas fees; he smacked his thigh—used the default Gas, but at that moment, Solana was congested, and the default just wasn’t enough for miners. Later, I found out Genius has a Gas booster that automatically detects congestion and gives a reasonable quote, but he missed that little button and just hit confirm.

Third trap: Page lagged like a PowerPoint.

His phone was pretty old, and with Genius open, he had four or five DApps running in the background. When he switched back, it froze completely, and he missed a point he had been eyeing all morning. I told him to clear everything in the background and just keep Genius open, and it ran smoothly right away.

After stepping into these three traps, my friend said: 'The tool is great, but you gotta use your head.'

I've learned my lesson now: self-custody wallet deposits, watch for that Gas booster, and clear the background to keep just one window open—get those three right, and I can fly with Genius.
