The Upbit exchange in South Korea was hacked for nearly 54 billion KRW (~36.8 million USD), related to tokens on the Solana network.

🔸 Early morning at 4:42 (Korean time), Upbit detected a large amount of tokens withdrawn to an unknown wallet on the Solana network and immediately suspended deposits/withdrawals for inspection.

🔸 The affected tokens include: SOL, 2Z, ACS, BONK, DOOD, DRIFT, HUMA, IO, JTO, JUP, LAYER, ME, MEW, MOODENG, ORCA, PENGU, PYTH, RAY, RENDER, SONIC, SOON, TRUMP, USDC, and W.

🔸 The exchange stated that it has transferred all remaining assets to a cold wallet to prevent further hacking.

🔸 Upbit also successfully froze 8.18 million USD worth of LAYER tokens and is coordinating with projects and authorities to attempt to freeze the remaining amount.

🔸 Temporarily, all deposits/withdrawals are still on “pause” until the security assessment is completed.
