🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Oil climbed overnight as the latest U.S.-Iran clash rattled the Gulf again.
Crude rose more than 1 percent in early Wednesday trading after U.S. strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island and Iranian missiles and drones launched toward Kuwait and Bahrain, with no breakthrough in the stalled talks.
Brent rose to $97.05 a barrel, while WTI hit $94.97.
The pattern is now mechanical.
Every exchange of fire near Hormuz nudges prices higher, and with negotiations frozen and the strait still contested, oil has nowhere to drift but up.
The war's economic toll keeps ticking even during the so-called ceasefire.
