Binance has launched US stock trading. On the surface, it seems like just another product entry, but looking at the bigger picture, it's more like a landmark move for crypto trading platforms evolving into a 'comprehensive financial gateway'.#美股0傭金在幣安

Over the past few years, crypto platforms have mainly been competing around token trading, wealth management, contracts, and on-chain assets; now, with US stocks and ETFs included in the same account system, it means that the competitive landscape is shifting from 'who has more coins and better liquidity' to 'who can meet more of the user's financial needs'.

I personally dove deep into Binance's new US stock trading module, and I feel that Binance has used crypto strategies to exploit the weaknesses of traditional brokerage trading.

1. Previously, the old play was Binance trading crypto, while others like Futu and Tiger were trading US stocks, and using traditional brokers involved complicated cross-border transfers and deposits/withdrawals.

Now it's all simplified, Binance = Crypto + US Stocks.

At this point, Binance effectively occupies the market share vacated by Futu, Tiger, etc.; it's super attractive.

2. This is a benefit from the leading player for everyone's trading; I looked it up, and Binance doesn’t take any commissions or fees in between, it’s straight up zero.

Users only need to pay a small fee to the compliant partner Alpaca.

3. The entry threshold has dropped: just $5 needed, supporting fractional trading, haha, feels like splitting high-priced stocks into NFTs.

Buying a share of Nvidia costs over $200, too pricey, no worries, you can grab 0.1 shares.

4. More web3 styles of play. For instance, supporting direct trading of stablecoins and BNB, seamless transitions between US stocks and crypto, plus 24/5 trading, just like the crypto market.

How to participate

The entry point for this feature is somewhat hidden; currently, the trial path is as follows (ensure you meet regional and qualified user compliance requirements):

Version check: Make sure your Binance App is updated to the latest version (iOS 3.15 and above / Android 3.15.7 and above).

Switch languages: Open the Binance App $\rightarrow$ go to the top left corner 【Settings】 $\rightarrow$ switch the language to 【Traditional Chinese】.

Enter the section: Return to the homepage, click on the bottom navigation bar 【Trade】, select 【Stocks】 in the upper tab to officially enter the trading section with 7000+ US stocks and ETFs.

Regarding asset security: Many traditional investors worry about the compliance of crypto platforms. This time Binance is partnering with Alpaca, a broker operating under compliance in Abu Dhabi (ADGM). All securities are held by Alpaca, and transfers are supported. Plus, Binance is a shareholder of Alpaca.

Outside of that: many say altcoins are doomed, liquidity has been drained by AI narratives and US stocks.

Actually, I have a slightly different view: in the crypto market with low entry barriers and minimal startup capital.
As long as there are still opportunities for massive wealth in the future, altcoins will have a shot.
The crypto cycle has been on the move for four years, each wave has had voices claiming crypto and altcoins are finished, yet the crypto market always rises again.

2. Looking forward to Binance launching stocks from other markets in the future, whether it’s the recently hot Korean stocks or the Vietnamese market, etc.
There will be some solid opportunities.
Crypto stocks should also become an important experiment for Binance in scaling from 300 million to 3 billion users; we look forward to changes ahead.

3. Looking to the future, we hope these on-chain US stocks can become more DeFi-like, similar to cryptocurrencies.

Bullish for BNBChain!
