After spending a long time on-chain, the biggest absurdity is: the data is all transparent, but you can't see through anything.
I used to be like most people, staring at wallet addresses every day. One time at 2 AM, I saw a wallet pull out 12,300 USDC from the pool and split it across three addresses. I was super excited, thinking new funds were entering the market, but when I woke up the next morning, the market had dropped 9%. They were just doing a risk pullback. At that moment, I realized: tracking addresses is a false proposition; it only shows you who moved, not why they moved.
Genius Terminal solves that 'why.' It forces every transaction to be anchored to a decision chain: How much selling pressure was there when this money entered? How long did the position hold? At which stage was the position increased? When did they pull liquidity? Once the anchor points connect, you can distinguish between opening positions, defending, and exiting funds, instead of relying on speculation.
But I still paid my tuition. Last week, I saw a wallet on the Genius leaderboard with explosive trading volume and decided to mirror it. Turns out they weren't even betting on direction; they were just inflating volume to earn points. I followed in and got hit with slippage, losing 1%. During the review, I realized I didn't even understand why they entered before I decided to follow.
So I've changed my strategy. Now I directly use the Genius official dashboard: safety scores, position distribution, top wallet ratios, everything is covered across the platform. The execution side is also scenario-specific: if the new coin window is short, I go with Fast Swap for speed; if heavily invested, I use Aggregator for multi-route to avoid slippage. Gas sponsorship is also enabled; if native EVM coins aren't enough, I’ll cover it with a 10% premium—better than getting stuck.
I haven't heavily invested in the $GENIUS token. I've seen the endorsements from YZi Labs and CZ, but until the full Tokenomics is out, a useful product and a supported token are two different things; I won't fall for that pit again.
The real shortcut on-chain has never been to follow others but to streamline your own judgment process. What Genius has helped me achieve is just that.
