How do you personally choose between long-term investing in US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and short term trading?
I have noticed that occasionally news or momentum can entice me to make quick decisions but I am not always sure if thats the best course of action for me. At other time I wait too long for perfect conviction and pass up better chances.
What aids in decision making Holding for sustained expansion
Trading volatility in the short term
or combining the two approaches in a single portfolio?
I'd be interested in learning how others manage this in actual markets.
