President Trump just opened the door to a historic summit with Iran's Supreme Leader.
On June 4, Trump told reporters: "If we make a deal, it's possible that I would meet him. I'd be OK with that. I'd be honored to meet him."
The context:
· Trump acknowledged Khamenei "probably has a very good reputation in some circles"
· Khamenei's father was killed by a US-Israeli strike that started the war
· Trump still says Iran has "agreed not to have a nuclear weapon"
The warning:
If talks fail? Trump says killing US troops would be a "good reason" to resume military action "very quickly."
