A surprising banking incident in Turkey has captured widespread attention after a young man discovered that more than $21 billion had suddenly appeared in his bank account.
The incident occurred in Van Province, eastern Turkey, where 32-year-old Ahmed Jahangir Datakalu, an Azerbaijani citizen, was left stunned after checking his bank balance.
According to local media reports, Ahmed first noticed something unusual when his bank card unexpectedly stopped working while he was attempting to make a purchase. Concerned, he visited a local bank branch to investigate the issue.
Upon reviewing his account details, bank officials discovered an extraordinary balance of 999,999,999,999.99 Turkish lira, an amount equivalent to billions of US dollars and more than 60 trillion Pakistani rupees.
Ahmed stated that he had no knowledge of how such a massive sum appeared in his account and denied having any connection to the funds.
As a precautionary measure, the bank immediately froze the affected accounts while authorities launched an investigation. Officials are currently examining whether the incident was caused by a banking system malfunction, a data processing error, or another technical issue.
The unusual case has generated significant interest on social media, with many users expressing disbelief at the massive balance that briefly appeared in the account.
