I’ve been in crypto for a while, but recently I started paying more attention to US stocks and ETFs because I realized something:
In crypto, emotions move markets fast.
In stocks, patience and consistency seem to matter more.
That made me curious about one thing:
How do experienced investors decide whether a stock deserves to be held long-term or traded short-term?
For example, companies like Apple, Nvidia, or Tesla always stay in discussion. Sometimes they pump because of hype, earnings, AI narratives, or news cycles. But how do you separate temporary excitement from actual long-term value?
I’m also trying to understand ETFs better.
For beginners, ETFs feel safer and less stressful than picking individual stocks, but I wonder:
At what point does an investor move from ETFs into individual stock selection?
Would genuinely love to hear real experiences from people who’ve been investing longer than me.
