US President Donald Trump stated that if both parties reach an agreement to end the three-month war, the US will work with Iran to reclaim and destroy its highly enriched uranium. According to Odaily's report, Trump pointed out that if no agreement is reached, the US will further weaken Iran's military capabilities until US forces can safely seize nuclear materials on their own.

Trump also mentioned that the US can track related activities through its Space Force's monitoring capabilities. He said the two sides are 'very close' to signing an agreement, but he still hopes Iran will make further concessions on abandoning its nuclear program.

Trump stated he wants to add a clause to prevent Iran from sidestepping the restrictions of the agreement. He mentioned that the initial draft included language prohibiting Iran from 'developing' nuclear weapons, and he wants the wording to also ban 'buying, acquiring, or obtaining' nuclear weapons. Trump added that Iran was initially resistant to this change but later did not oppose it.
