Today, NEAR Protocol has announced it succeeded on processing 1 million transactions per second in a test! This demonstrate how powerful the Nightshade 2.0 tech is! For who may doesn't know, the Nightshade let the validators work with less data so it makes the network more scalable and helps NEAR to handle more users without slowing down! But why 1 million TPS matters?
It matters because the scalability has been one of the biggest problems in the blockchain! NEAR’s result shows that sharding can really reach that kind of throughput needed for largescale applications like AI agents, DeFi systems and on-chain apps that need instant responses! This achievement has proved that Near's tech can scale to levels that people never believed was possible.
