🇺🇸 Around 50 US companies completed their initial public offering in the first half of 2026, representing a doubling year over year, with a total amount raised of about $120 billion, nearing the 2021 annual record. Ben Snider, chief equity strategist at Goldman Sachs, said this rebound reflects a normal cyclical recovery, driven mainly by large-cap IPOs and the expansion of capital expenditures in the AI industry. By comparison, the average annual number of IPOs in the United States over the past 25 years was about 100, reaching more than 250 in 2021 and nearly 400 during the 1999 Internet bubble, which suggests that the current level of issuance does not show extreme speculative characteristics.
