🇻🇪🛢️ UNITED STATES BOARDING THIRD VESSEL IN 11 DAYS: THE OIL BLOCKADE ON VENEZUELA IS TOTAL

U.S. forces intercepted the tanker Bella 1 this Sunday as it was heading to Venezuela to load oil. This is the third boarding since Trump announced the "total and complete blockade" against Venezuelan oil tankers.

🚢 The Bella 1 sails under the flag of Guyana and belongs to the Panamanian company Louis Marine Shipholding Enterprises S.A. Unlike the previous two, this vessel was EMPTY heading to load crude, demonstrating that the U.S. no longer only intercepts tankers leaving but also those attempting to enter.

📋 The history of the blockade in less than two weeks:

- December 10: Skipper — sanctioned by OFAC, false Guyanese flag, transported 1.8 million barrels of Venezuelan and Iranian crude

- December 20: Centuries — was NOT sanctioned, Panamanian flag, Chinese-owned, loaded 1.8 million barrels heading to Asia

- December 21: Bella 1 — sanctioned by OFAC, Guyanese flag, was heading to Venezuela to load

🔺 The escalation is clear: from the Skipper that had a judicial order, to the Centuries that were boarded without an order under "right of visit", to the Bella 1 that was not even carrying cargo. Trump made it clear that "if they are stupid enough to keep sailing, they will sail to one of our ports".

🇮🇷 Iran has already offered its support to Venezuela to "face the international piracy" from Washington, while the Venezuelan Navy began escorting tankers since December 19. The "shadow fleet" of over 80 vessels in Venezuelan waters watches helplessly as the noose tightens.
