Billionaire says the Greenland episode debunks the myth of 'Bitcoin as digital gold'
Canadian billionaire Frank Giustra has again criticized the narrative that Bitcoin (BTC) would be the 'digital gold', stating that recent events involving Greenland have made the difference between the two assets clear.
According to Giustra, gold is a safe haven asset, while Bitcoin behaves like a risk-on asset.
Giustra, who is an investor in the mining sector and CEO of Fiore Capital, is known in the crypto space for his criticisms of the Bitcoin accumulation model advocated by Michael Saylor and Strategy (MSTR). Despite this, he claims to be against the way Bitcoin is promoted, based on 'greed and FOMO', rather than against Bitcoin itself.
