When I looked deeper into Walrus, the capacity numbers really stood out. The network has already crossed around 800 petabytes of available storage, and this is not a fixed ceiling. As more nodes join through incentives, the capacity grows naturally. In my view, this is one of the most important strengths of the project. Growth does not feel forced here. It feels organic.
We have seen many networks struggle when demand increases faster than supply. Here, the model encourages new participants to add resources as usage rises. This keeps things balanced. From what I can tell, this elastic growth makes the network more resilient over time. It adapts instead of breaking, and that matters a lot when we talk about long-term infrastructure.
