Strategy, the largest public company holder of Bitcoin in the world, owned by Michael Saylor, surpassed 700,000 BTC in its reserves with its latest large-scale purchase.

for USD 2.130 billion last week, according to a document filed on Monday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The purchases were made at an average price of USD 95,284 per BTC, and Bitcoin briefly exceeded USD 97,000 on Wednesday, according to data from CoinGecko.

The acquisition raised the total Bitcoin held by Strategy to 709.715 BTC, purchased for about USD 53.920 million at an average price of USD 75.979 per coin.

The largest Bitcoin purchase by Strategy since February 2025

Strategy's latest Bitcoin acquisition represents a significant acceleration in the buying pace compared to most of 2025, and it is the company's largest purchase since February of last year, when it bought 20.356 BTC for around USD 2.000 million.

The company announced a purchase of 13.627 BTC (USD 1.300 million) on January 12, which had been its largest Bitcoin acquisition since July of last year.
