It is often said that those with a higher understanding than you should be able to 'catch' you and 'tolerate' you. Is that really the case?
In fact, those who truly have a higher understanding than you are the ones who can 'tear apart' your understanding.
Such people are to be cherished, for they are the true benefactors in your life.
If someone always accommodates you and makes you feel extremely comfortable, they are actually flattering you and even indulging you.
These people may not necessarily have a higher understanding than you, and if you stay with such people for a long time, you are likely to become someone else's 'meal'.
You should know that in ancient times, both eagles and chickens could soar in the sky. Why is it that now only eagles fly while chickens have become food on the table?
Because humans 'indulge' chickens—giving them food, satisfying them, allowing them to survive without struggle. As a result, the wings of the chicken have atrophied. The day you lose your ability to fly is the day you are sent to the dining table.
It is often said online that wise people should be able to 'catch' you and embrace you, but in fact, that may just be 'feeding' you, allowing you to sink into your comfort zone and lose the ability to cope with the future. These people are not benefactors; they may even be 'bad people' consuming your energy for some purpose.
A true wise person is someone who can pull you out of the bottom of the well to see the world, rather than telling you that the bottom of the well is good and throwing food into it.
I have come from a rural child to today, relying not on the praise and indulgence of others, but on those who are willing to lend me a hand, tear apart my cognition, and point out my shortcomings.
This process may be accompanied by bouts of intense pain and discomfort, but it is precisely this 'discomfort' that enhances your perspective and expands your world.
Please cherish those who dare to tear apart your cognition and boldly tell you how to become better. They are the light in your life.
