1. When the wrong behavior is rewarded

Correct behavior leads to good results, while wrong behavior leads to bad results.

This sentence seems fine at first glance, but in life, many times when we exhibit wrong behavior, we may still achieve good results, even very good results.

This will lead to two problems:
1. Not realizing that this behavior itself is problematic

Because most results are good, it creates a sort of blind spot, making it hard to realize that this behavior is problematic. In subsequent similar situations, one might continue to repeat the previous behavior.

2. Aware that this behavior is problematic, but still expecting good results. Past experiences tell oneself: doing this, even if the behavior is wrong, is very likely to achieve decent, or even good results. So one will continue this behavior. (Typical behavior-reward mechanism)

2. The emergence of long-term erroneous behavior

Then the problem arises. When we persist in doing something wrong for a long time, it is highly likely that there will not be a good result. For example: persistently smoking, persistently running red lights.

Of course, these are two relatively extreme examples. In life, unfavorable results are often not so obvious. Good and bad results may alternate, or the final result may take a long time to manifest, and even bad results may ultimately not occur.

Especially when the results of erroneous behavior are random, one is even less aware of the problems with the behavior itself, or if they are aware, they will deny it. When bad results occur, one hears similar words: my state is not good today, just a little bit of luck would have helped, it's all xx's fault. You know, when the reasons for bad results are blamed on: state, luck, environment, the feeling is much better.

These two situations may be encountered in life, work, and transactions.

So what solutions are there for this situation?

I'm not sure.

After all, changing the current situation is not easy.
